Voltage is one part of the application

Commercial trucks commonly use 24V electrical systems, while light commercial vehicles and some cabin accessories use 12V. The same-looking switch should never be assumed to support both systems without a confirmed specification.

Check the complete circuit role

Identify whether the part sends a low-current control signal, switches a relay circuit or carries the accessory load directly. The required contact design and rating depend on the circuit role, not only the voltage printed in the vehicle manual.

  • Rated current and connector pinout

  • Illumination and indicator functions

  • Original OE reference

Use the vehicle reference as the final control

The truck model, year, OE number and connector remain the strongest purchasing reference. Treat 12V or 24V as a required check inside that identity, not as a substitute for fitment verification.
