Start with the truck platform

Brand is the first filter, not the final answer. MAN TGX, Scania R-series, DAF XF, Volvo FH and Mercedes-Benz Actros applications each span multiple generations and cabin configurations.

Compare the switch details

After narrowing the vehicle family, compare the switch position, button count, mirror-control functions, illumination, rear housing and connector. Small differences can separate driver-side and passenger-side parts or earlier and later vehicle generations.

  • Vehicle series and model year

  • Left or right cabin position

  • Window and mirror functions

  • Connector shape and pin count

  • OE number printed on the removed switch

Approve one repeatable reference

For distributor programs, record the PIRANA model, OE cross-reference, approved photographs and packaging definition together. This creates a usable reorder reference across sales, purchasing and warehouse teams.
