Verify the replacement before removal
Compare the new switch with the original while both parts are available. Check the OE reference, front layout, rear housing, connector keying and left- or right-side installation position.
Protect the connector and trim
Disconnect vehicle power according to the service procedure. Release trim and locking tabs carefully, and inspect the harness connector for heat damage, corrosion or displaced terminals.
Follow the vehicle service procedure
Avoid pulling on the wiring harness
Inspect connector pins and locking tabs
Seat the replacement without forcing it
Test every supported function
After installation, test each window direction, one-touch operation, mirror controls and illumination where fitted. A function that remains faulty may indicate wiring, motor, module or vehicle-side issues rather than the switch alone.
