Describe the exact symptom

Record whether one window direction fails, both directions fail, operation is intermittent, the passenger switch works or the complete door system is inactive. The symptom helps narrow the circuit.

Check the vehicle side first

Inspect the relevant fuse, connector condition and harness where practical. A replacement switch cannot correct an open circuit, damaged door wiring, failed motor or control-module fault.

  • Fuse and supply voltage

  • Harness and connector condition

  • Driver and passenger switch behavior

  • Window motor response

  • Stored vehicle diagnostic information

Confirm the replacement reference

If the switch is identified as the likely fault, match the OE number, connector and operating functions before ordering. Retain photographs of the removed part for the sourcing record.
